Bankruptcy Analyst

Summary
The Bankruptcy Analyst is responsible for maximizing recoveries of consumer accounts included in active or discharged bankruptcies.
Essential Functions
- Research and document bankruptcy case information in order to identify and pursue appropriation actions such as filing proofs of claim or facilitating objection to adverse treatment through referral to outside counsel
- Quality Control
- Process and document correspondence
- Update account information into company’s servicing system
- Monitor assigned queue and follow up accordingly
- Facilitate communication with debtor attorneys, bankruptcy trustees, or other parties via regular inbound or outbound calling
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned
- Handle a high volume of calls in a fast-paced environment and ensure customers are served in a timely manner
- Serves as primary point of contact for customers, maintains consistent communication with customer and makes required calls in a timely fashion
- Answer inbound/outbound(dialer) calls
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted in lieu of degree
- 2-4 years of Mortgage or Bankruptcy experience highly preferred
- Fluency in Spanish is highly preferred
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen and credit check to client-required standards
- Ability to interface with debtors, debtor attorneys, court personnel or other parties in a professional manner over the phone in order to drive resolutions
- Review, comprehend and document bankruptcy court documents including bankruptcy schedules, bankruptcy plans and proofs of claim
- Follow procedural guidelines and take action based on analysis of bankruptcy case
- Effectively communicate findings, issues and irregularities to management
