Banking and Payment Specialist

Summary

The Specialist role is within the Finance department.  This role shall be responsible for the following essential functions being completed: 

Essential Functions

  • Prepare daily payment reconciliation of loan system of record and multiple bank accounts.
  • Work with Director on month-end reconciliation and variance research.
  • Respond to credit reporting disputes from borrowers and credit bureaus.
  • Support the auditing and processing of daily ACH transactions, returns entry, and loan funding.
  • Enter payments and loan modifications into Nortridge Loan System.
  • Prepare documentation for internal and external auditors.
  • Assist with creating procedure documentation for the department.
  • Support in other projects/functions as needed.

 

Qualifications and Skills

  • Microsoft Word and Excel experience required; SQL and XML knowledge preferred.
  • Knowledge of Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and Metro 2 guidelines preferred.
  • Experience in finance and/or accounting principles preferred.
  • Detail oriented with the ability to work independently and within deadlines.
  • Able to learn policies and procedures and complete necessary tasks in compliance.
  • Self-motivated team player with strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to work well under pressure.
  • Communicate effectively and concisely with all levels of personnel both verbally and in writing.
  • Effectively prioritize a variety of tasks simultaneously.
